Club Projects
 

Beautification of Gaylord –funded by the Greens sale, four gardens are designed, planted, and maintained by the Membership.

Gardens:

Courthouse, County Building, 225 Main Street

Energy Outlet, 1250 Gornick Avenue

Loon Lake, I-75 Rest Area

McCoy Corner, NE Old 27 and McCoy Road

Annual Garden Walk-Open to the public to encourage garden beautification and stimulate the love of gardening.

Habitat for Humanity Home Landscaping
- The Committee works with the Homeowner to design and plant a garden based on needs and site. Plantings are through purchase and donation.

Library Showcase
- Each year an educational display is placed in the showcase to celebrate National Garden Week featuring an aspect of horticulture, conservation and/or the environment.

Plant Exchange (Spring and Fall)
- Open to the public to promote beautification of gardens by exchanging plants.

Scholarships
- A minimum of one educational scholarship is awarded for post High School academics in horticultural related fields.
 

 

The mission of Edelweiss Garden Club is to maintain community gardens, provide opportunities to improve gardening knowledge and encourage a fellowship of gardeners.
