The Otsego County Commission on Aging (OCCOA)
was established in 1979. Operating as a non-profit agency and as a
component unit of Otsego County government, services include congregate
meals, home delivered meals, homemaking assistance, personal care
assistance, respite care, adult day services, telephone reassurance calls,
transportation to medical appointments, and social and educational
programs. Additionally, volunteer opportunities are available.
Funded by federal, state and local monies,
OCCOA targets its services to persons in Otsego County who are 60 years of
age or older and their care givers. The agency is the recipient of
financial donations from families receiving services, other individuals,
and businesses in Otsego County.
The OCCOA is guided by a board of directors
comprised of citizens serving in a volunteer capacity. Providing
leadership to an experienced to an experienced, caring and compassionate
services staff, Executive Director, Arnold Morse brings strong management
skills to the agency from his intense background in business and corporate
industry. Assistant Director, Dona Wishart, brings program
development and public relation skills to the organization from her
experience in human service work.
