2008 PROGRAM CALENDAR:

Our meetings are held the 4th Wednesday of every month, with the exception of November, when our meeting is held the last Thursday of the month so that it falls the week after Thanksgiving.

During the colder months, our meetings are held at the Gaylord United Way building, unless otherwise noted in your meeting reminder.  During the summer months, we meet at the Demonstration Garden for our work bees.  In the event of inclement weather, we will meet at the United Way building.

Our meetings begin at 6:45pm.

2008 PROGRAM CALENDAR:

JANUARY 23, 2008:  Following our business meeting at the Gaylord United Way building, Pat Esther-Schmidt, owner and consultant of Pat's Posey Patch will give a presentation.

FEBRUARY 27, 2008:  Our meeting will be held at the Gaylord United Way building.   Yvette King, from Centurion Farms in Alpena, will speak on the benefits of eating locally grown foods and where to find healthy foods.

MARCH 26, 2008:  Our meeting will be held at the Gaylord United Way building.  Brad Morgan from Morgan Composting will show us economical ways to grow flowers, vegetables and lawns.  Click here for:  2008 March Minutes.

APRIL 11, 2008:  Our association will be taking a fieldtrip to Traverse City to visit Plant Masters and Waterscapes Unlimited.  This trip will include lunch.  For more details please contact Sharon at 231-627-4940.

APRIL 30, 2008: 6-9pm Alpine Master Gardeners Awards Banquet - Gaylord.  Featured guest speaker, Janet Macunovich will have us under her magical spell as she inspires us with "Gardeners as 21st Century Shamans".  First Congregational Church Hall, 218 W. 2nd Street.  Cost $8.00 for "active" Master Gardeners (recertified in 2007 or Newby's) and $15.00 for others and guests.  Reservations due to Dora Jasinski by April 23rd.  231-238-0078.
