Our meetings are held the 4th
Wednesday of every month, with the exception of November. Our annual
meeting will be held late in November or early in December depending on when
Thanksgiving falls that year.
During the colder months, our
meetings are held at the Gaylord United Way building, unless otherwise noted in
your meeting reminder. During the summer months, we meet at a member's
home in June and at the Demonstration Garden in both July and August. In
the event of inclement weather, we will meet at the United Way building.
Our meetings begin at 6:45pm.
Refreshments and social time is 6:15pm.
January 25th: Hands-on project:
Forcing paperwhite bulbs indoors.
Business meeting includes budget approval. Meeting to be held at the
Gaylord United Way Building, on 116 5th Street.
February 22nd: Bill Alvin from Northstar Greenhouses in
Wolverine will speak about seed starting and hardening off. Meeting to be held
at the Gaylord United Way Building, on 116 5th Street.
February 25:
AMGA SPRING GARDEN CONFERENCE
March 22nd: Annual Master Gardener Banquet. Guest
Speaker, Duke Elsner, PhD from MSU-E in Grand Traverse will present information
on Bees and Butterflies. Information will follow including how to RSVP for
this event.
April 26th: Shape Up!
Erin Mann will demonstrate Yoga to shape
you up for garden season & Sharie Plain presents a Powerpoint presentation on
Adaptive Garden techniques for easier, faster garden chores. Meeting and
presentation to be held at the Gaylord United Way Building, on 116 5th Street.
May 24th: Annual Plant Exchange lead by Karen Blewett and
Carol Buxton. Meeting and exchange to be held at the Gaylord OCD
Gardens.
June 21st: Work Bee at the OCD Gardens.
July 26th: Road Trip - Member Garden Visit - Additional
information to follow.
August 23rd: Road Trip - Member Garden Visit - Additional
information to follow.
