                               "Stand-Up For Education" 

                                Fund Raising Event 2008

Purpose -  Raise funds for the OCCF Education Committee to award scholarships to Otsego County graduating high school seniors and to award mini-grants* to teachers in Otsego County.

Time -  Thursday September 11, 2008

Place -  Gaylord and immediate business area (Pavilion activities between 3:00 PM and 6:30PM.)

Marketing Points -  Raise funds for Otsego County kids and teachers.  Shop locally.  Business is a caring part of the community.  Start the school year positively with fun educational activities.

Promotion Vehicles -  Radio, window signs/banners, limited print ads.

Target Markets (two) -  Otsego County businesses and professionals.  Local and tourist customers.

Event Plan -  Businesses and Professionals - Commit 10% of their sales, after breakeven, that day to "Stand-Up For Education" Committee fund raising project.  

Adults and kids -  Interactive educational activities, food and entertainment.
