Text Box: PLANNING FOR THE FUTURE   On Monday, October 25, the Board met for a planning session led by Phil Alexander of MSU Extension.  The group spent the morning discussing where we are as an organization and where we wish to be in the coming years.  The discussion brought forth many good ideas and reaffirmed our mission of collection and preserving county artifacts and historic sites and buildings. From the session the board set goals and priorities for the coming year and beyond.  These are:   √ EXPANDING MEMBERSHIP √ PUBLIC RELATIONS √ EDUCATIONAL & OUTREACH PROGRAMS   The next sep is to form committees within the coming months to form strategies to accomplish these goals. Text Box: CHRISTMAS GIFT GIVING.....MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNT                The Museum will be open on Saturday, December 4 from 10:00-4:00 p.m. to sell Calendars, Pictorial History Books and Step Back in Time volumes for the Holiday season. These make special gifts for family members and  friends. Members of the Historical Society will receive a 10% discount on all items purchased on the 4th.                In addition, the Museum is open on Monday mornings from 9:00-12:00 noon throughout the fall and winter months. When visiting the Museum on Monday mornings, please use the back door.
