Text Box: EXTREEVAGANZA TIME!!

The Otsego County Historical Society will again be the greeters at the Otsego Club for the annual Extreevaganza event on Friday, December 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You are invited to come in between these hours to look at these beautifully decorated trees. Admittance is by donation and the donations received at the door will benefit the Historical Society.

During the evening on this day these decorated trees from various businesses and individuals will be auctioned off to support the Otsego County Community Foundation. However, one tree will be raffled off at 3:00 p.m.! Raffle tickets will only be available during the treeview at the Otsego Club. So when you come to see the trees you can purchase your raffle tickets and perhaps win a beautifully decorated Christmas tree!

Please join us for a day of fun. Your donation to the Historical Society is greatly appreciated!
Text Box:  SCHOOLS  ... MUSEUM THEME FOR 2005

Do you have  pictures of classrooms, teachers, sports, school picnics?  School memorabilia? Of one room school houses? Of the old Johannesburg, Vanderbilt, Gaylord or Elmira schools?

If you have pictures that you can lend us for a few days we will make copies for our files and display and then return them to you. Many times pictures were on post cards...these work well too.

If you have things to share or donate please give me a call and I will make  arrangements to pick them up from you.  Either the Museum at 732-4568 or my home at 546-3590. Thanks!
