We have two pending bills. One is the $500 scholarship to be paid to Jess Barden. The other is a bill for the custodian for the show at the high school for $260.
We are waiting for conformation on the Rex Branson seminar. The tentative dates were August 28 & 29. If we have full details at the July 11th meeting, I will put them in the next newsletter.
The August meeting will be held at Hartwick Pines State Park in Grayling. The meeting will be informal and after we take care of business, we will have a pot luck dinner. The club will provide the hamburgers, hot dogs and buns. Members attending are asked to bring a dish to pass, their own beverages and eating utensils. The Meeting will start at 5:00 pm.
After dinner member Wendell Hoover will take us on a guided
tour of the park. We have a list of some of the members who are
planning to attend, we need anyone else who will be there to contact me at
732-2849 as soon as possible.
We are gaining in member attendance at the meetings. Jim's shop is becoming to small to hold the meetings comfortably. We need to find a place that will allow us to store some of our materials on site. We have contacted the Sport mans Club and they do not have any empty space on their calendar at this time. Ray Scott also contacted the Community Center and they also can not help us. Anyone with any ideas please contact Jim Pike at 732-3222 or me at 732-2849.
Thanks to Ray Scott for the refreshments at the June meeting. Trudy Sanocki volunteered to bring them for July.
