Regular Board Meeting May 27, 2003
Hello and welcome to our web site.
At our regular board meeting on May 27, 2003 we were pleased to
welcome 9 visitors who had come out with an interest in the township.
One of these was a man from Municipal Financial by the name of
John Axe. Mr. Axe had came by invitation to talk to us about
various methods of financing a water system on Hayes Road south of
McLouth Road. There is development being planned for that area
that will require water if it does occur. More discussion and
final decisions will likely occur at meetings coming up very soon.
The planning commission will meet on June 10th at 7:00 pm and the next
board meeting is June 23rd at 7:30 pm. More information could come
up at either or both of these meetings. If you have an interest in
this please attend our upcoming meetings. If you haven't, but know
someone else who might, please pass this message on.
We voted to recommend approval of a walkway and platform for
Robert Slezak along Sturgeon River. Their proposal met the
criteria of the county zoning ordinance and had the approval of the DEQ.
The rezone of the property along west 32 was not discussed because no
representatives were present.
Mark June 21st on your calendar. The Livingston Township
Board has scheduled the first Township trash removal day.
Residents are asked to bring their junk, excluding hazardous waste, to
the Arrow Transfer Station on M-32 East from 9-2 where it can be
disposed of at no cost. Please bring proof of residency or
property ownership with you.
Livingston Township Hall has some open dates and makes an
excellent place to have a wedding reception, graduation party or
reunion. We also have some tables and chairs that can be rented
for "at home" functions. Those interested should call Vic
Ouellette at 731-1906.
Anyone having comments on this new web page can call Joanie Mench
at 732-2106. We thank the local library for providing this
service.
