Medicaid & Other Assistance in Michigan —Where to Get Answers
Medicaid is a federal program that provides free or low-cost health and long-term care coverage to certain categories of low-income Americans. For information about whether you, or someone you know, may be eligible for Medicaid or other benefits in Michigan, visit the Michigan Assistance and Referral Service (MARS) website at http://www.michigan.gov/mdch/0,1607,7-132--37520--,00.html. MARS is a prescreening tool that helps you find programs offered by the State of Michigan that can help people in need of assistance for medical, nutritional, food, day care, temporary cash or other expenses.

Meetings, Workshops, Conferences & More for Professionals

National Alliance to End Homelessness Conference July 28-30

Registration is now open for the NAEH conference. Find out more information about the Conference at: http://naeh.org/section/tools/conference/annualconf2008.

The Michigan Coalition Against Homelessness (MCAH) will be presenting on how to implement rural Project Homeless Connects and  will also be meeting up with other state homeless coalitions to talk about current issues.

One of the best parts about the NAEH conference is the opportunity to participate in Capitol Hill Day where you, along with your Michigan Delegation, visit the Michigan congressional offices to advocate for programs, legislation and funding for housing and homeless programs.   MCAH is a co-state captain this year with Corporation for Supportive Housing and would love to see a large contingent from Michigan! It's fun, informative, and effective!
