Otsego County is working with its citizens to form a common vision of what they want Otsego County to look like in the future.  The vision will help determine how and where growth should take place, while taking measures to improve the local economy and preserve the natural beauty and Up North characteristics which draw people and businesses to Otsego County.

Otsego County is bringing together people from all units of government---township, village, city and County in recognition of the need to form a common vision to sensibly accommodate and promote development.  Most importantly, Otsego County needs your input to form a common vision for the future.

The visioning process is being facilitated by R. Clark Associates, a Traverse City-based consulting firm and is supported by a grant from People and Land, a funding source for organizations advocating land use education and decision making in Michigan that is funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and with a grant from the Fifth Third Foundation.  Partners in the process include Otsego County, City of Gaylord, Village of Vanderbilt, nine surrounding townships as well as County, City, Village and Township planning commissions and the Otsego County Economic Alliance.

The Future of our community should not be planned without you!
