         Message from the GACA Board President

Dear Fellow Art Lovers,

It is the beginning of our new fiscal year and time for the membership drive and renewal.

It is also a new day dawning for the Gaylord Area Council for the Arts. We are ready to move in new directions. As a result of the many changes this past year, our Board is reviewing our current programs and projects to determine how we can best serve the arts community of Otsego County.

Our goal is to support the arts, our outstanding local artists, and other arts organizations in the area. In order to realize this goal we need your help. GACA was established to enhance the quality of life in our community through the arts. We are asking you to donate to the cause - donate your time, your ideas, and your skills. Each of you has something to give that will enhance our program. We are seeking individuals who are willing to give some of their time and provide us with input, as you see it, as to what would develop the arts in Gaylord and the surrounding area.

Our new brochure has a "response" list on the inside. Please complete it and let us know what is important for us to focus on as we restructure our organization. At the same time, we would like you to think about any skill that you might have that would be valuable to us. We need writers, typists, accountants, teachers, mothers, fathers…..and artists! We welcome your ideas and are dependant upon them to move forward. Join us as we breathe new life into the arts in Otsego County.
