Gaylord Area Council
for the Arts
ARTS SCHOLARSHIPS Each year GACA holds a juried show for
area artists in grades 9 - 12. These high school students compete for a
Visual Arts Scholarship Award (VASA), and their artwork is displayed in our
Gallery for 2 weeks. At the same time, people of all ages may compete for
the Fine Arts Scholarship Award (FASA) in the areas of music, dance, theater
and visual arts. Winners' work is displayed in our Gallery along with the
VASA winners. In 2011, only the VASA portion of the scholarship program will
be held. The exhibit will run January 4 - 15.
