Rev. Mary McClure retired as our pastor effective August 15, 2009.

Her twelve year tenure at the First Presbyterian Church in Gaylord was

a good one. The congregation wishes "Pastor Mary" well as she moves

into her retirement and the next phase of her life. She will be missed,

but certainly not forgotten.

We are very pleased to welcome as our interim pastor Reverend John

Frederick Helgeson. Reverend Helgeson will begin his tenure with us

as of December 1, 2009. John received his D.Min from Union Virginia

in Richmond, VA and a Th.M in theology from Princeton Seminary. He was

ordained in 1975.

We warmly welcome John and his wife Nancy to our church and look forward

to a rewarding experience with them as John leads us during our time of

transition to a new pastor.
