2012 Spring
Tree Sale
THANK
YOU to all that made the 2012 Spring Tree Sale a success!

What is
a Tree Sale?
Most conservation districts hold
tree sales, which continue to be a main source of funding. A variety
of trees and shrubs are sold as bare-root seedlings at tree sales
and profits make landowner assistance and other services provided by
your conservation district possible. The Otsego Conservation
District holds spring and fall tree sales every year.
What
You Will Find at a Tree Sale
OCD holds tree sales in the fall
and spring. However, we do not have the same variety of plants in
the fall as we do in the spring.
Fall Tree Sale: Hardwoods, conifers and a limited variety of
shrubs
Spring Tree Sale: Hardwoods, conifers, wildlife and
landscaping shrubs, native wildflowers, fruit trees and
(sometimes) small fruit plants.
*Silvicultural aids, such as planting
bars, tree guards, deer repellent and root moisturizer are available
at both spring and fall sales.
