GO WILD! PLANT NATIVE.

Demonstration Gardens Featuring Native Michigan Plants

Go Wild!  Plant Native is a collaboration among organizations, landscapers, and individuals interested in expanding the number of gardening, landscaping and restoration projects using Michigan native plants, shrubs, and trees in Charlevoix, Cheboygan, and Emmet Counties. The name “Go Wild!  Plant Native.” was inspired by the  2011 theme of Onaway’s Stepping Stones Garden Club.

The intent of this initiative is to increase interest and understanding of the importance of “going native” for at least a portion of our landscaping.  Demonstration gardens let you see for yourself how Michigan natives create both beauty and ecological benefits.  The benefits extend to everyone whether you own a business or a home, or are part of a non-profit organization or house of worship.
