previous regular meeting as printed. Ayes, all. Motion carried.
Milbocker moved, Edwartowski supported, to accept the Treasurer's report
as follows: General Operation, $98,724.29; Roads Account, $204,639.35.
Ayes, all. Motion carried.
Old Business: Decided to post the custodial/maint./waste station attendant
position two (2) times in the Gaylord Herald Times and have the deadline
for application to be February 14, 2005.
Talked about GASB 34. Kim gave an update on the status of reports,
inventories, accounts, etc.
New Business: Talked about having a spring clean-up day for Charlton
Township residents. Chester Township had one last year. Discussed how to
keep other townships' residents out and only have Charlton Township
residents dump trash that day. Will discuss further at a later date.
Talked about the contract we have with Royal Linen Service. Thompson Linen
gave prices for their service. They do not charge us when we do not use
linen, etc. Samkowiak moved, Edwartowski supported, to get a release from
Royal Linen Service and sign up with Thompson's Linen Service. Matt will
see if there is a penalty for leaving the contract with Royal Linen
Service early. Ayes, all. Motion carried.
Milbocker moved, Samkowiak supported, to send Board of Review members to a
class. Ayes, all. Motion carried.
Discussed the Election Consolidation law. Charlton Township will still
continue to hold the school elections (May of each year) as in the past.
Those portions of Chester, Vienna, Dover Townships in the
Johannesburg-Lewiston Area Schools district will vote at Charlton
Township. The clerk will attend two (2) meetings with the Montmorency
County Clerk to work out the details. The Montmorency County Clerk will be
handling J/L's elections as most of the school district's voters are in
Montmorency County.
Lee Olsen gave a report on county activities. Talked about the budget for
the county. Lee stated that Paul Beachnau is the new chairman of the
commission. He talked about the possibility of a 'children's museum' being
built. Lee is not totally in favor of this as he feels there are already
too many county minor millages.
Mike Townsend talked about fire training. He stated that he has two (2)
people planning to go to a class. The cost is $350.00 plus hourly wages.
There was discussion about paying up front for the class. Mike stated that
people on the fire department should not have to pay for the classes and
then get reimbursed. Currently, the board requires a certificate of
completion before payment is made. Something needs to be done to see that
this class is paid for ahead of time so that fire fighters will attend.
More discussion will be coming in February.
Tammy Myers stated that there is an MFR class being offered in the near
future but that there are no prospects for the class at this time. She
stated that she will be getting supplies before the budget runs out.
Talked about running a millage for fire/EMS. More discussion in the
future.
Matt gave an update on the Personal Property Tax Assessment and Audit.
Jim Quandt gave a report on planning and zoning.

Station. Edwardtowski moved,
