Minutes of Special meeting of Charlton Township Board held on March 22,
2004.
A special meeting of the Charlton Township Board was called to order by Clerk Ivan Maschke at 5:00 pm on Monday, March 22, 2004.
Board members present: Huff, Samkowiak, Milbocker and Maschke.
Board members absent: Walker.
Meeting called for the purpose of working on the proposed 2004-05 Roads Account Budget for the township and any other item that may come before the board.
There were no persons in the audience.
Discussed possible roadwork for the coming summer. Talked about contracting for work on Melvindale Camp Road. Beckett Road and 8th to 12th Streets on Big Bear Lake. Also, it will be necessary to retain approximately $15.000.00 for possible tax tribunal case refunds.
Samkowiak moved, Maschke supported, to adopt the FY 2004-05 Roads Account Budget as follows:
04-01-04 Balance on hand: $ 205.642.45
Expected Revenues: $4,000.00
Expected Expenditures: $199,050.00
Contingency Fund: $10,592.45
Ayes, all. Motion carried.
Read a letter of resignation from Shawn Richards as custodian at the hall and attendant at the waste station. Resignation is to be effective April 15, 2004.
The board members present thought that the effective date should be at the end of March or April and not in the middle of the month. Maschke will check with Shawn to see which date he will resign.
Meeting adjourned at 6:20 pm.
