Here are up-coming educational opportunities including conferences, local happenings, and speaker presentations being given on garden-related subjects.  You will find even more educational opportunities on the calendar at M.S.U.E. Master Gardener Volunteer website. 

Don't forget, all MGV related speakers count as full credit while 1/2 time is counted for non MGV related speakers.

April 17, 2010:  The Isabella County Master Gardener "Spring into Gardening" conference will be held at the Comfort Inn, in Mt. April 29, 2010:  Otsego Conservation District is putting on a Native Plants Workshop, from 6-7pm, at the OCD Greenhouse, located within the Demonstration Garden.  Learn the characteristics of our native plants.  Information about a number of different gardens will be available as well.   For directions and sign up contact Jessica at 732-4021 or jessica.kane@mi.nacdnet.net.

April 30th-May 1st, 2010:  2010 Master Gardener College.  Friday, April 30th - 1-5pm, MSU Pavilion - Afternoon tours and hands-on workshops.  Friday night BBQ (optional).  Saturday, May 1st - 8:30am-5pm, MSU Business Center Complex/Eppley Center.  Keynote Speaker:  Dr. Art Cameron, MSU Horticulture Professor, "The Science and Art of Gardening".  Over twenty class topic and speakers representing five themes:  Science and Gardening, Growing Healthy Plants, Plants for Sustainable Landscapes, Backyard Food Solutions, and Strengthening Volunteer Skills.  Attend Friday and Saturday or just Saturday.  Special registration discount for 2009 recertified MGVs.  Detailed information and registration material available in mid-March.
