HORTICULTURAL LINKS:

As gardeners we all have our own favorite gardening-related websites.  Here are some sites recommended by our association members:

www.traversebotanicalgarden.com - Northwestern Michigan Botanical Garden Society website

www.webgarden.osu.edu - This is a magical website!  You plug in the plant, flower or tree name and all the information you could ever want will pop up.

www.pallensmith.com

www.territorial-seed.com

www.seedsavers.org

www.growinglifestyle.com    Features good overall articles on everything from garden clubs, maintenance, plant databases to tools and everything in between.

www.gardeninglaunchpad.com    The gardening launch pad has extensive links to all things gardening.  95% are content links not commercial.  New links are added every other Sunday.

www.gardengatemagazine.com

www.hortmag.com

www.organicgardening.com

www.taunton.com/finegardening    You don't have to subscribe to a magazine to benefit from the articles.  Many publications have articles on their web pages.

www.msue.msu.edu    In researching information for my zone 3/4 garden, I have gone to university websites.  Our own M.S.U. site is excellent, but also go to surrounding states and states with similar cultural plant situations:  Minnesota, Vermont, Maine.  If you are seeking information about container gardening, annuals, houseplants, etc., you can expand your search even to far away places such as Texas!  Each university publishes fact sheets that can be downloaded and printed.
